Ninagawa Woman 2 Photography Book Review

Posted By yonghow on October 20th, 2013

Ninagawa Woman 2 is the 2nd volume from photographer Ninagawa Mika’s series of pictorial books featuring Japanese female celebrities. Read the review for volume 1 here.

Ninagawa is known for her hallmark use of intense, explosive colors, often using a cornucopia of flowers as the backdrop. Her color sense is extraordinary. Besides photography, she has also branched into filmmaking the past few years with movies like Sakuran and Helter Skelter.

(above right) Actress/model Kuroki Meisa, who is a mix of Brazilian and Japanese. Her pictorial “Love Meisa” is shot by Singaporean photographer Leslie Kee.

A great pictorial featuring some very beautiful Japanese women and dazzling photography. I’m not sure why they choose such an unattractive design for the cover though. Besides that nitpick, the book comes highly recommended.

“Ninagawa Woman 2” photography book details :

- Dimensions – 9.8 x 7.2 x 0.6 inches

Are you a fan of Kiko Mizuhara by any chance?

Chris – Not in particular, but Ninagawa took some great shots of her in this pictorial :
