I just got wind of this and am completely thrilled – renowned Japanese illustrator and manga artist Katsuya Terada ( Monkey King, Cover Girls ) will be holding a 10 year retrospective exhibition at the Kyoto International Manga Museum, from March 16th to June 30th 2013. Some 300 pieces of art work will be on display.
(below) Poster proofs for the upcoming exhibition.
This is awesome news. Any discerning fan of Japanese manga and illustration will know that Terada-san is one of most talented artists working in the industry – a chance to see 10 years of his collective work would be nothing short of mind-blowing; not unlike Otomo Katsuhiro’s Genga Exhibition.
If you’re planning on visiting Japan and the Kansai area around March to June, this is a must see. Here’s a rundown of some general information :

By an incredible stroke of luck I’m scheduled to be in Tokyo/Osaka around late March/early April so I definitely be dropping by the exhibition, and bringing home an art book or two.
