Last Exile - Aerial Log Art Book Review

Last Exile – The Silver Wing Aerial Log is a collection of art work from the sci-fi/fantasy anime series Last Exile by Gonzo studios, with famed illustrator Range Murata serving as character designer.

The bulk of the book’s content features detailed character design sheets by Murata, as well as some illustrations, story digests, mecha designs, world ( environment ) concept sketches and more.

This should be an easy buy for fans of Range Murata’s art work ( although my favourite art book is still Primstone ); even if you’re not familiar with the anime, the huge collection of superb character designs by the artist is still worth the price of the book. Recommended.

Murata is a fantastic illustrator. my only nitpick is the way he draws young girls at times.

martin – Agreed; he ventures into lolicon territory quite often.
